The Cars return with their sophomore masterpiece, Candy-O. Released in 1979, this album solidifies the band's signature blend of new wave energy, power-pop hooks, and stripped-down rock sophistication.
Standout tracks like "Candy-O," "Lust For Kicks," and the hypnotic "Dangerous Type" showcase Ric Ocasek's songwriting prowess and the band's tight, inventive arrangements. The album balances infectious melodies with an underlying edge—perfect for collectors seeking essential late-70s rock innovation.
A landmark release that defined an era and remains endlessly rewarding on vinyl.
