Released in May 1991, Never Loved Elvis is The Wonder Stuff’s third studio album and their most commercially successful. Produced by Mick Glossop at London’s Townhouse Studios, it reached number three on the UK Albums Chart and achieved gold certification in Britain.
The album’s energetic, guitar-driven alternative rock is enriched by folk-inspired fiddle, banjo and accordion, with sardonic vocals from Miles Hunt and guest appearances by Kirsty MacColl and Linda McRae. It features the hit single “The Size of a Cow,” alongside “Caught in My Shadow” and “Sleep Alone.”
This 180g vinyl reissue faithfully replicates the original UK Polydor pressing. Release date: 4 December.
