Sophie Ellis-Bextor returns to her disco roots with The Song Diaries, a stunning orchestral reimagining of her greatest hits. This special National Album Day 2026 edition features turquoise vinyl, marking her seventh studio album and a bold reinvention of classics like Murder On The Dancefloor and Groovejet (If This Ain't Love).
Produced by Ed Harcourt—who helmed her previous chart-toppers Familia and Wanderlust—and featuring lush string arrangements by Amy Langley of Dirty Pretty Strings, The Song Diaries transforms six of Sophie's Top 10 singles with beautiful orchestral arrangements. Additional production from David Arnold, composer for five James Bond films, brings cinematic depth to these beloved tracks.
After 21 years and a career defining six Top 10 singles, Sophie delivers what the Evening Standard calls a "joyous, exhilarating reinvention and reminiscence." This is disco reimagined for the concert hall.
