Queens of the Stone Age return with Perfecth, their ninth studio album and a bold exploration of love in all its forms. Inspired by kintsugi—the Japanese art of mending broken pottery with gold—the band has assembled nine fearless songs that map different dimensions of connection: family, friendship, and the relationships that both break and rebuild us.
Tracked across New Orleans and Los Angeles, Perfecth captures the band's most significant collective evolution. Each song inhabits its own sonic world, from moody and menacing to gentle and strange, stitching together emotions of love, lust, foolishness, and hard-won wisdom. Josh Homme, Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita, and Jon Theodore have moved a career's worth of jagged pieces into perfect alignment.
The album's title—spelled "perfecth"—is a deliberate rejection of an impossible ideal. As Homme explains, "Nothing in this world is perfect, but everything seems to be 'perfecth'." An album that could only exist now, born from clarity and unafraid to explore the dark, the sexual, the surreal, and the absurd.
